Adidas’ global blockbuster running campaign ‘Faster Than_’ shared the message that everyone has their own. personal, reasons for running. ‘Fast’ can mean something different to everyone and every runner takes up their own unique race every time they lace up their shoes.

Everyone has their own reasons for running. And the word ‘fast’ can mean something different to each and every runner. Fast is personal: one runner’s ‘fast’ might be very different from the next runner’s idea of fast. This global campaign showed that the world of running is already so inspiring for it’s realness, there isn’t any need to add anything more to it.
That message clearly resonated, with the anthem film notching nearly 10 million views on YouTube in its first month and posting of Ellie Lacey and Martinus Evans' instalments tallying nearly 2 million and 180,000, respectively. The global marketing initiative covered mainstream media, digital, social, product branding and in-store activations.
Brief
We delved deep to find unknown runners and emerging Creators who embodied the concept of ‘transformation’ and ‘self-betterment’ through the sport, representing the universal insight of why ‘fast’ is more than just speed and why running has the power to change lives. We spent time to get to know our runners and in each case we found stories that elevate the human condition and that share a hopeful message of personal empowerment.
This is a bold, confident and accessible to all series, empowering the sport with the message that - all you need to go is just get out there and run.
